THIRD TRIMESTER
7th Month
The increase in the size of the abdomen is more obvious. Stomach pressure from the uterus combined with the effect of pregnancy hormones causes severe indigestion. Many women experience postpartum heartburn after a moderate meal due to delayed gastric emptying. One way to treat heartburn is to eat small meals several times a day. The symptoms of constipation increase due to the pressure exerted by the uterus on the intestine and makes it difficult to move. Another problem that can occur or worsen is hemorrhoids and is due to the increased pressure of the venous network inside the minor pelvis due to the pressure from the uterus. Long standing and sitting are not recommended. Using a cream recommended by your doctor if there is itching or even pain will help reduce the symptoms. The pressure exerted by the uterus on the inferior vena cava when the mother is lying in a supine position causes dizziness, weakness and hypotension(low blood pressure). To avoid the above symptoms, it is recommended that the mother lie on her left side in a sideways position and when she gets out of bed she should be at a slow pace.
8th month
The dilation of the uterus by the growing fetus causes severe shortness of breath, heartburn, difficulty breathing and frequent urination. The metabolic rate is very high with the result that the pregnant woman gets very hot. However, it is advisable to avoid direct exposure to air conditioners or fans. Some women forget a lot and in some cases become clumsy. Others will return to normal levels as soon as the hormone changes. The mother feels very tired and tired and has trouble sleeping, as she finds it difficult to find a comfortable position in bed due to musculoskeletal pain. The most suitable position is the side position with a pillow between her aprons. The contractions of the uterus for the exit of the fetus that ends in childbirth begin.
9th month
The contractions are increased as the baby grows from the 36th to the 40th week. His organs function normally and he has the ability to turn his head and take the place of childbirth. You have difficulty moving. He has frequent urination and musculoskeletal pain.
SYMPTOMS OF THIRD TRIMESTER
- Difficulty breathing due to the stretching of the abdomen which presses on the lungs
- Frequent urination and constipation and “wet” every time he laughs or sneezes
- Indigestion, burning in the chest, bitter taste in the mouth, due to the pressure exerted by the uterus on the digestive system resulting in gastroesophageal reflux
- Cramps especially in the lower extremities
- Swelling of the lower extremities resulting in difficulty in movement
- Increased need for sleep and rest even during the day
